A characterization of Clarke’s strict tangent cone via nonlinear semigroups [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985

Local Structure of Convex Surfaces near Regular and Conical Points

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
Consider a point on a convex surface in Rd, d≥2 and a plane of support Π to the surface at this point. Draw a plane parallel with Π cutting a part of the surface.

Algebraic Tangent Cones of Reflexive Sheaves [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Mathematics Research Notices, 2018
Abstract We study the notion of algebraic tangent cones at singularities of reflexive sheaves. These correspond to extensions of reflexive sheaves across a negative divisor. We show the existence of optimal extensions in a constructive manner, and we prove the uniqueness in a suitable sense.

A case in which irreducibility of an analytic germ implies irreducibility of the tangent cone [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
There are simple examples in which a variety is irreducible at a point but has a reducible tangent cone. The following theorem is proved. If X p {X_p} is an irreducible analytic germ and if the ...

The asymmetry on singularities of tangent surfaces in contact-cone Legendre-null duality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We give the generic classification on singularities of tangent surfaces to Lengendre curves and to null curves by using the contact-cone duality between the contact 3-sphere and the Lagrange-Grassmannian with cone structure of a symplectic 4-space.

Spacelike developable surfaces through a common line of curvature in Minkowski 3-space

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2015
This paper studies the problem to construct a spacelike developable surface possessing a given non-null parametric curve as the line of curvature in Minkowski 3-space.

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Sequential Bouligand Tangent Cone and Clarke Tangent Cone in a Real Normed Space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we discuss several basic properties of cone, convex, tangent cone, and bring to a focus on the sequential Bouligand tangent cone which is also called the contingent cone.

Double normals and tangent normals for polygons [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
Given a polygonal closed plane curve γ \gamma . Each segment of γ \gamma has a tangent direction and a normal direction; each vertex of γ \gamma has a cone of tangent directions and a cone of normal ...

Multifunctional Catechol‐Functionalized Cellulose Hydrogels for the Minimally Invasive Treatment of Acute Optic Nerve Injuries

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Catechol‐functionalized cellulose hydrogels are developed as injectable, bioadhesive platforms for retinal neuroprotection. The hydrogels exhibit tunable rheological and mechanical properties, strong tissue adhesion, and sustained antioxidative activity.
