The inverse hyperbolic tangent function and Jacobian sine function

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2017
A function \(f: I\to J\) is called \(H_{p,q}\)-convex, if \(f(H_p(x,y))\leq H_q(f(x),f(y))\) for any \(x\), \(y\) in \(I\), where \(H_k\) denotes the Hölder mean of order \(k\). Let \({\mathcal K}={\mathcal K}(r)\) be the complete elliptic integral of the first kind. By using the monotone form of l'Hôpital's rule, the author proves that the composition

Refined Simplified Neutrosophic Similarity Measures Based on Trigonometric Function and Their Application in Construction Project Decision-Making [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Soft Computing in Civil Engineering, 2018
Refined simplified neutrosophic sets (RSNSs) are appropriately used in decision-making problems with sub-attributes considering their truth components, indeterminacy components, and falsity components independently.

Approximations of Tangent Polynomials, Tangent –Bernoulli and Tangent – Genocchi Polynomials in terms of Hyperbolic Functions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2021
Asymptotic approximations of Tangent polynomials, Tangent-Bernoulli, and Tangent-Genocchi polynomials are derived using saddle point method and the approximations are expressed in terms of hyperbolic functions. For each polynomial there are two approximations derived with one having enlarged region of validity.

Interval Neutrosophic Tangent Similarity Measure Based MADM strategy and its Application to MADM Problems [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2018
In this paper, tangent similarity measure of interval valued neutrosophic sets is proposed and its properties are examined. The concept of interval valued neutrosophic set is a powerful mathematical tool to deal with incomplete, indeterminate and ...

Tan-G class of trigonometric distributions and its applications

open access: yesCubo, 2021
In this paper, we introduce a new general class of trigonometric distributions based on the tangent function, called the Tan-G class. A mathematical procedure of the Tan-G class is carried out, including expansions for the probability density function ...

Second-order lower radial tangent derivatives and applications to set-valued optimization

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
We introduce the concepts of second-order radial composed tangent derivative, second-order radial tangent derivative, second-order lower radial composed tangent derivative, and second-order lower radial tangent derivative for set-valued maps by means of ...

New inequalities between the inverse hyperbolic tangent and the analogue for corresponding functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2020
In this paper, we present new inequalities which reveal further relationship for both the inverse tangent function arctan ( x ) $\arctan (x)$ and the inverse hyperbolic function arctanh ( x ) $\operatorname{arctanh}(x)$ .

Students’ Evolving Meaning About Tangent Line with the Mediation of a Dynamic Geometry Environment and an Instructional Example Space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper I report a lengthy episode from a teaching experiment in which fifteen Year 12 Greek students negotiated their definitions of tangent line to a function graph.

A new tangent-based probabilistic approach with applications in sports and medical sciences

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
This paper proposes a new probabilistic method using the tangent function, namely, a new tangent-F family of distributions. It improves the data-fitting ability of its special members by adding a parameter.
