A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Arnold's Projective Plane and 𝑟-Matrices
We will explain Arnold's 2-dimensional (shortly, 2D) projective geometry (Arnold, 2005) by means of lattice theory. It will be shown that the projection of the set of nontrivial triangular 𝑟-matrices is the pencil of tangent lines of a quadratic curve on

TANGENT-FILLING PLANE CURVES OVER FINITE FIELDS
AbstractWe study plane curves over finite fields whose tangent lines at smooth $\mathbb {F}_q$ -points together cover all the points of $\mathbb {P}^2(\mathbb {F}_q)$ .

Strain localization analysis using a multiscale model [PDF]
In order to analyze the formability of steels in sheet metal forming, a ductility loss criterion is coupled with a multiscale model. The behavior at the mesoscopic (grain) scale is modeled by a large strain micromechanical constitutive law, which is then

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.
