Field Evaluation of Different Unmanned Aerial Spraying Systems Applied to Control Panonychus citri in Mountainous Citrus Orchards

open access: yesAgriculture
In mountainous citrus orchards, the application of conventional ground sprayers for the control of citrus red mite (Panonychus citri) is often constrained by complex terrain and low operational efficiency.

Comparing the Applicability of State‐Of‐The‐Art Photopolymer Injection Molds Printed by Multi‐Material Jetting and High‐Performance Digital Light Processing

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
The workflow of comparing state‐of‐the‐art photopolymers in rapid tooling. ABSTRACT Additive manufacturing (AM) introduced the concept of layer‐by‐layer manufacturing, which allows the fast and direct production of parts. Additive technologies are also hybridized with conventional polymer processing technologies.

Fendioxypyracil, a new and systemic PPO‐inhibiting herbicide for X‐spectrum weed control

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract presents the discovery and synthesis of PPO herbicide structures with a central pyridine core, showing molecular conformations, dose–response inhibition curves for PPO1 and PPO2, and comparative weed and grass control efficacy of fendioxypyracil versus other herbicides in greenhouse and field trials.

Factors affecting the pathogenicity of Yersinia ruckeri [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
A group of 42 strains of Yersinia ruckeri were characterized and found to show homogenous biochemical profiles. The optimal conditions for in vitro culture of a representative strain of Y. ruckeri were established.

Droplet size spectrum, velocity, angle and flow rate of pulse‐width‐modulated spray nozzles with adjuvants

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Optimizing PWM performance requires not only appropriate duty cycle selection, but also careful choice of adjuvant formulation tailored to each nozzle type. Drift control agents increased droplet size and reduced fine droplets, mitigating PWM‐induced variability. Decreasing the duty cycle consistently narrowed the spray angle.

Overcoming Barriers and Solutions for Catalysing Private Capital in Climate Adaptation: A Stakeholder‐Informed Agenda for Hong Kong's Intermediary Role in Southeast Asia

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates stakeholder perspectives on mobilising private‐sector finance for climate adaptation in Southeast Asia, emphasising Hong Kong's role as a financial intermediary. Through semi‐structured interviews with diverse stakeholders, including practitioners, policymakers, insurers, and project developers, we employed a grounded ...

The power of expressed humility: Early stage investors' reaction to humble entrepreneurs

open access: yesStrategic Entrepreneurship Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary We examine how entrepreneur‐expressed humility affects early stage investors' willingness to fund new ventures. In pitching contexts where investors rely on relational cues and implicit prototypes of entrepreneurs, we theorize three distinct pathways through which expressed humility shapes funding decisions. First, building on
