Binary Titanium-tantalum alloys and their Biocompatibility
The paper deals with investigation of biological properties of binary alloys of titanium with tantalum in relation to the ratio of mass share of tantalum in the alloy. Tests of cytocompatibility and genotoxicity have been made.

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...

An alcohol‐adduct‐mediated strategy is employed to stabilize tin isopropoxide for the formation of a homogeneous double electron transport layer (ETL) incorporating SnO2 nanoparticles (NPs). This double‐ETL exhibits improved optical and charge‐transport properties due to reduced defect density and better energy level alignment, resulting in high ...

Structure and Microhardness of Cu-Ta Joints Produced by Explosive Welding
The structure and microhardness of Cu-Ta joints produced by explosive welding were studied. It was found that, during explosive welding, an intermediate layer 20⋯40 μm thick with a finely dispersed heterophase structure, formed between the welded copper ...

The role of each Mn site in the Na3‐xMn[Mn(CN)6]·zH2O compounds’ redox activity was investigated using a combined experimental–computational approach, which shows that only the low‐spin Mn‐C site undergoes redox changes (Mn1+ to Mn4+), while high‐spin Mn‐N remains unchanged. The study confirms the presence of the Mn1+ intermediate and newly reveals its
