Chemical composition and anti-Candida potencial of the extracts of Tarenaya spinosa (Jacq.) Raf. (Cleomaceae)

Comparative Immunology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, 2019
Phytochemical prospecting was performed by HPLC-DAD. The Inhibitory Concentration of 50% of mortality the microorganisms (IC50) was determined and a cell viability curve was obtained. Minimum Fungicidal Concentration (MFC) was determined by subculture in Sabourad Dextrose Agar.

Long-term conservation of Tarenaya rosea (Cleomaceae) root cultures: histological and histochemical analyses during cryopreservation using the encapsulation-vitrification technique

open access: yesProtoplasma, 2020
Adventitious root cultures of Tarenaya rosea were successfully cryopreserved using the encapsulation-vitrification technique. Histological analysis revealed useful information on the successive steps of cryopreservation. Coupled with complementary histochemical approaches, these studies provided cellular and tissue descriptions of T.

Characterization of a putative tropinone reductase from Tarenaya hassleriana with a broad substrate specificity

Biotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, 2021
AbstractA novel short‐chain alcohol dehydrogenase from Tarenaya hassleriana labeled as putative tropinone reductase was heterologously expressed in Escherichia coli. Purified recombinant protein had molecular weight of approximately 30 kDa on 12% sodium dodecyl sulfate‐polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. T.

Two new species of Tarenaya (Cleomaceae) from Brazil

Phytotaxa, 2018
Two new endemic species of Tarenaya from Brazil are described and illustrated here. These species have been previously recognized, but their names were never validly published. They resemble each other by the armed petioles, corymbiform racemes, small flowers and sessile to subsessile mature capsules with deflexed and persistent sepals.

Tarenaya minutiflora (Cleomaceae), a New Species from Guyana

Novon, A Journal for Botanical Nomenclature, 2020
Tarenaya minutiflora Iltis & Cochrane is described from Guyana. The new species, distinguished from its congeners by the very small size of the flowers, is illustrated and compared to its probable nearest relatives T. parviflora (Kunth) Iltis, T. psoraleifolia (DC.) Soares Neto & Roalson, and T. brasiliensis Weinm.
