Aircraft Target Classification Based on CNN
2020 IEEE 11th Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM), 2020In this paper, we applied the idea of deep learning to aircraft targets recognition based on time-frequency diagram. Firstly we introduced application of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and the methods of radar target recognition. Secondly, Short Time Fourier Transformation (STFT) was introduced.

Waveform selection in radar target classification
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2000We apply a sequential experiment design procedure to the problem of signal selection for radar target classification. Radar waveforms are designed to discriminate between targets possessing a doubly spread reflectivity function that are observed in clutter.

Domain definition and target classification for CASP6
Proteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, 2005Assessment of structure predictions in CASP6 was based on single domains isolated from experimentally determined structures, which were categorized into comparative modeling, fold recognition, and new fold targets. Domain definitions were defined upon visual examination of the structures with the aid of automated domain-parsing programs.

Target-Dependent Churn Classification in Microblogs
Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2015We consider the problem of classifying micro-posts as churny or non-churny with respect to a given brand. Using Twitter data about three brands, we find that standard machine learning techniques clearly outperform keyword based approaches.

Radar target type classification and validation
2013 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium - IGARSS, 2013The main challenge in analyzing the results of persistent scatterer techniques is to associate each coherent radar reflection to a real-world object, referred to as target type classification. In recent years different methods to perform target type classification were studied.

Classification and Target Tempo
2016A target can be classified based upon an IFF signal, a visual image, or something similar. But an uncooperative target will not transmit a valid IFF signal and will attempt to obscure its image from the defender. Can the target be identified from its motion pattern; e.g., turn rates, tempo?

Target classification strategies
SPIE Proceedings, 2015Target classification algorithms have generally kept pace with developments in the academic and commercial sectors since the 1970s. However, most recently, investment into object classification by internet companies and various Human Brain Projects have far outpaced that of the defense sector. Implications are noteworthy.

Target classification and localization in habitat monitoring
2003 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003. Proceedings. (ICASSP '03)., 2004We are developing an acoustic habitat-monitoring sensor network that recognizes and locates specific animal calls in real time. We investigate the system requirements of such a real-time acoustic monitoring network. We propose a system architecture and a set of lightweight collaborative signal processing algorithms that achieve real-time behavior while
