, 2015 After the foundation of Republic of Turkey, the activities of tariqahs were forbidden by a law dated November 30, 1925. Due to this prohibition some of the religious activities that took place within the Tekke lodges changed in structure, but the core content of the tradition survived and was transferred to certain mosques.
