Intrinsic Disordered Network in Multiferroic YMnO3 Single Crystals for In‐Materio Physical Reservoir Computing Through Tuneable Domain‐Wall Structure

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Intrinsically disordered cloverleaf domain structures in multiferroic YMnO3 single crystals enable highly nonlinear, thermally stable, and energy‐efficient physical reservoir computing. This system performs waveform generation, time‐series forecasting, and voice recognition at microwatt‐level power, leveraging the anisotropic domain‐wall topology to ...

Freedom of Scientific Inquiry and Democracy. A Systems‐Theoretical Approach

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The article examines the relationship between democracy and one of its inherent features: freedom of scientific inquiry—a multi‐layered concept closely intertwined with the broader notion of academic freedom—both of which are increasingly under threat worldwide. The paper advocates for the use of Luhmann's theoretical framework to analyse this

Frequency‐Multiplexed Parallel Differentiation in Subwavelength Planar Metastructure

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
A metastructure processing unit performs frequency‐multiplexed parallel differentiation within a planar subwavelength structure. By optimizing the design of pixel metamaterial, the device enables real‐time edge detection on multiple input signals, demonstrating high computational density and compactness for integrated electromagnetic signal processing.

Mimicking breast cancer tissue—3D bioprinted models in accurate drug sensitivity tests

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Three‐dimensional (3D) bioprinted tumor models provide a novel method for studying drug sensitivity. This study compares drug response patterns of 3D bioprinted breast cancer models with xenografts and syngeneic tumors, showing that bioprinted models more accurately reflect the drug sensitivity and tissue heterogeneity of syngeneic tumor model.

Fecal corticosterone metabolite levels in two closely related rodent species in a sub‐Mediterranean environment

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Glucocorticoids regulate many physiological functions and play an important role in coping with challenging stimuli. The non‐invasive assessment of glucocorticoids is increasingly used as a tool to evaluate individual and population health status in wild animals.
