Air Temperature Variability in the High Tatra Mountains
2013Annual and monthly air temperatures at meteorological stations covering nearly the whole vertical range (696–2,636 m a.s.l.) of the High Tatra Mountains (Western Carpathians) were analyzed for the period 1961–2007. Acidity of atmospheric precipitation in Polish Tatra Mountains
Water, Air, & Soil Pollution, 1995A three-year (1991–93) study on atmospheric precipitation (bulk and throughfall) and stream chemistry was carried out in two — granitic (Waksmundzka Val.) and calcareous (Mietusia) valleys (Polish Tatra Mountains). It was found that both valleys were under acid rain influence — chemical analysis showed strong seasonal fluctuations of the studied ...

[Pollenosis in children in the Tatra Mountain region].
Casopis lekaru ceskych, 1994During the last 20 years we can observe a marked rise of allergic diseases in the child and adult population with a dominant increase of pollenoses in children. It is assumed that this adverse development is due to changes in the ecosystem caused above all by contamination of the living environment.
