Toward a Comprehensive Treatment of Tautomerism in Chemoinformatics Including in InChI V2

open access: yes, 2019
We have collected 86 different transforms of tautomeric interconversions. Out of those, 54 are for prototropic (non-ring-chain) tautomerism; 21 for ring-chain tautomerism; and 11 for valence tautomerism.

Tautomeric Forms of Metarhodopsin [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of General Physiology, 1963
Light isomerizes the chromophore of rhodopsin, 11-cis retinal (formerly retinene), to the all-trans configuration. This introduces a succession of unstable intermediates—pre-lumirhodopsin, lumirhodopsin, metarhodopsin —in which all-trans retinal is still attached to the chromophoric site on opsin. Finally, retinal is hydrolyzed from opsin.

Tri-Cyclic Nucleobase Analogs and Their Ribosides as Substrates of Purine-Nucleoside Phosphorylases. II Guanine and Isoguanine Derivatives

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Etheno-derivatives of guanine, O6-methylguanine, and isoguanine were prepared and purified using standard methods. The title compounds were examined as potential substrates of purine-nucleoside phosphorylases from various sources in the reverse ...

Tautomerism in large databases [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design, 2010
We have used the Chemical Structure DataBase (CSDB) of the NCI CADD Group, an aggregated collection of over 150 small-molecule databases totaling 103.5 million structure records, to conduct tautomerism analyses on one of the largest currently existing sets of real (i.e. not computer-generated) compounds.

Acetylacetone: metal complexes and keto-enol tautomerism – which tautomer is more/less stable?

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica
Tautomerism is a fundamental concept that studies the transfer of a proton between two constitutional isomers, i.e. keto and enol tautomers, where the enol tautomers are usually less stable than the corresponding carbonyl compound.

π‐Enlargement in Porphyrin Macrocycles at Interfaces

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
On‐surface synthesis of a 20‐π free‐base expanded porphyrin, by depositing onto a hot Ag(111) substrate an 18‐π free‐base precursor equipped with ‐CF3 functional groups ABSTRACT Porphyrins are essential heteroatomic macrocycles, fundamental to both biological systems and advanced technology.

Blood Biomarkers and Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Gout: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating gout disease progression from asymptomatic hyperuricemia to chronic tophaceous disease, highlighting the limitations of conventional imaging and biochemical diagnostics and the potential of engineered SERS platforms for ultrasensitive blood‐based detection of urate‐related biomarkers across disease stages, with the color gradient
