ABSTRACT Retirement income systems, such as superannuation, are meant to be non‐discriminatory and consider disadvantage faced by members of society. There are significant differences between the life expectancies of Indigenous and non‐Indigenous peoples. The gap in life expectancies is not considered when determining when Indigenous peoples can retire.

In this paper we examine the optimal taxation problem in a two sector economy with heterogeneous agents. We show that in a steady state of this economy the optimal capital income tax rate can be different from zero.

Analysis of the Tax Consciousness of a Taxpayer and a Tax Agent
To examine whether there are any differences between the consciousness of a taxpayer and that of a tax agent, this study has been analyzed and performed by using the questionaire. The results of the analysis show that there are some differences in variable of analytical objects in the tax consciousness of a taxpayer and a tax agent.
