Research on data driven dynamic mechanism of energy enterprise investment: based on system dynamics simulation

open access: yesEnergy Informatics
Under the background of global energy transformation and the integration of digital economy, energy enterprises’ digital investment faces the challenges of uncertain return cycle and lack of data asset pricing mechanism. By constructing a system dynamics

Do Mobile Pensioners Threaten the Deferred Taxation of Savings? [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigate optimal taxation of lifetime income with and without an emigration option during old age. The government sets the rates of deferred taxation and of possibly reduced taxation of interest.

Democracy and taxation

open access: yesEconomics, 2018
Abstract In this paper, the author argues that democracies increase tax revenues, based on the hypothesis that democracies increase direct and indirect taxes due to increased taxpayers’ compliance, diffusion of taxes between democracies and because voters in poor democracies are in favour of import taxes. The author tests this hypothesis

The Neglected Role of GSDMD C‐Terminal in Counteracting Type I Interferon Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The C‐terminal domain of Gasdermin D (GSDMD‐CT) shows functions beyond pyroptosis. GSDMD‐CT negatively regulates IFN‐I signaling during viral infection by triggering autophagic degradation of RIG‐I and TBK1. GSDMD‐CT interacts with retinoic acid‐inducible gene‐I (RIG‐I) and tank‐binding kinase 1 (TBK1), leading to TRIM28‐mediated ubiquitination and ...

The Theory of Optimal Taxation: What is the Policy Relevance? [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper discusses the implications of optimal tax theory for the debates on uniform commodity taxation and neutral capital income taxation. While strong administrative and political economy arguments in favor of uniform and neutral taxation remain ...

Peptide Hormone‐Mediated Regulation of Plant Development and Environmental Adaptability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this review, recent advances in understanding the roles of plant peptide hormones in regulating growth, reproduction, and environmental adaptability are systematically summarized. It further elucidates the challenges in studying these peptides, such as their low abundance, functional redundancy, and complex signaling mechanisms, and highlights their

Single‐Cell Dissection of the Biological Function and Molecular Features Underlying the Micropeptide LSMEM1 in Kidney

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LSMEM1, an evolutionarily conserved micropeptide with extreme hydrophobicity (aliphatic index═113) and dynamic amphiphilicity (GRAVY═0.017), features a strong α‐helical transmembrane anchor (residues 64‐86). Single‐cell analysis reveals its critical role in renal lipid homeostasis.

A Tunable Strategy for Continuous Production of Electrolyte‐Free Formic Acid and Sodium Formate in a Solid‐State‐Electrolyte Based Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A tunable strategy based on Membrane electrode assembly‐SSE (MEA‐SSE) cells to continuously generate electrolyte‐free formic acid/sodium formate solution, holds high potential for industrial applications. Abstract Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) based on solid‐state‐electrolyte (SSE) reactors can efficiently convert CO2 to electrolyte ...

Taxation and Saving [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Abstract In this survey, I summarize and evaluate the extant literature concerning taxation and personal saving. I describe the theoretical models that economists have used to depict saving decisions, and I explore the positive and normative implications of these models.

Scalable Lignin Monomer Production Via Machine Learning‐Guided Reductive Catalytic Fractionation of Lignocellulose

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study pioneers an integrated machine learning framework combining large‐scale data modeling, experimental validation, and impact analysis to optimize reductive catalytic fractionation for scalable, sustainable lignin monomer production. Abstract Efficient valorization of lignocellulosic biomass into high‐value lignin monomers is a cornerstone of ...
