The Power of Music: Connecting Leadership Developmental Theory to Modern Icons Beyoncé and Taylor Swift

open access: yesNew Directions for Student Leadership, Volume 2025, Issue 185, Page 17-23, Spring 2025.
ABSTRACT This article links the connection between music and leadership, exploring ways to connect musical icons to teaching leadership theory and concepts. The authors utilize the relationship leadership model (RLM) and the leadership identity development (LID) model through case studies of Beyoncé Knowles‐Carter and Taylor Swift. We provide questions

Micro‐Mechanism Informed Neural Networks for Process‐Property Prediction in Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesArtificial Intelligence for Engineering, EarlyView.
Hard physics embedding, where neural networks learn residuals relative to analytical baselines, substantially outperforms soft loss‐function constraints for extrapolation in LPBF process–property prediction. Physics integration architecture determines generalization capability more than constraint quantity.

Experimental Study on Disintegration Characteristics of Water Droplets in Icicle‐Flat Plate Gap Beyond Critical Discharge Voltage

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The disintegration behaviour of ice‐melting droplets aggravates the discharge risk of ice‐covered insulators and the disintegration characteristics of droplets at applied voltages exceeding the critical discharge voltage lack in‐depth study.

Modeling small‐angle scattering data of porous and/or bicontinuous structures in n dimensions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
A small‐angle scattering fitting function is derived for porous materials with arbitrary fractal dimension. It includes a correlation peak and a power law at higher q.Fractal structures are often observed in small‐angle scattering experiments where a simple power law q−α describes the scattering intensity over many orders of magnitude.

The contribution of the humanities to the theory and practice of public administration in the 21st century

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Public Administration, EarlyView.
Abstract This Forum Article integrates a range of four contributions which are all underpinned by the conviction that the rediscovery of the humanities may be beneficial to the field of public administration. The first piece examines the contribution that philosophy, as a key discipline of the humanities, can provide to the field of public ...
