On an interpolation using Taylor expansion [PDF]
In [3] and [4], we obtained the ten-node interpolation and the twelve-node interpolation using Taylor expansion, respectively. In the present paper, we shall show interpolation formulas from two-node to thirteen-node excepting ten-node and twelve-node ...

On Taylor series expansion for chaotic nonlinear systems
S.1783-1789We study properties of Taylor series expansion for maps displaying chaotic behaviour. Analytical and numerical results are presented to illustrate that under certain conditions the trajectory of the map obtained by the expansion may not ...

In this paper, three-step Taylor expansion, which is equivalent to third-order Taylor expansion, is used as a mathematical base of the new descent method. At each iteration of this method, three steps are performed.

Iterative analytic extension in tomographic imaging
If a spatial-domain function has a finite support, its Fourier transform is an entire function. The Taylor series expansion of an entire function converges at every finite point in the complex plane.

Strategic Design of Soft Actuators in Translational Medical Robotics for Human‐Centered Healthcare
Soft robotics enables biocompatible, compliant medical devices, but clinical translation requires design‐driven engineering beyond materials. This perspective reviews implantable, surgical, and wearable systems by actuation mechanism, highlighting how optimized architectures and integration improve mechanical interfacing, adaptability, and durability ...

A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...

Computation of shape Taylor expansions
Shape derivative is an important analytical tool for studying scattering problems involving perturbations in scatterers. Many applications, including inverse scattering, optimal design, and uncertainty quantification, are based on shape derivatives. However, computing high order shape derivatives is challenging due to the complexity of shape calculus ...

Numerical Taylor expansions for invariant manifolds [PDF]
The authors consider the numerical computation of Taylor expansions of invariant manifolds around equilibria of flows and fixed points of maps. As in other approaches, the computations are based on the homological equations for the flow or map when decomposed along a linear splitting of the state space.
