In this paper, a type of high-order compact (HOC) finite difference method is developed for solving two- and three-dimensional unsteady convection diffusion reaction (CDR) equations with variable coefficients. Firstly, an HOC difference scheme is derived

Taylor Series for the Mittag–Leffler Functions and Their Multi-Index Analogues
It has been obtained that the n-th derivative of the 2-parametric Mittag–Leffler function is a 3-parametric Mittag–Leffler function, with exactness to a constant.

Nonlinear emergent macroscale PDEs, with error bound, for nonlinear microscale systems
Many multiscale physical scenarios have a spatial domain which is large in some dimensions but relatively thin in other dimensions. These scenarios includes homogenization problems where microscale heterogeneity is effectively a ‘thin dimension’. In such

Introduction Cognitive Analytic therapy (CAT) is a brief focal therapy consisting of 16 - 24 sessions in the context of complex cases. It involves three stages: reformulation, recognition and revision (Taylor et al, 2017 Dec;90(4):511-529).

Water tracks intensify surface energy and mass exchange in the Antarctic McMurdo Dry Valleys [PDF]
The hydrologic cycle in the Antarctic McMurdo Dry Valleys (MDV) is mainly controlled by surface energy balance. Water tracks are channel-shaped high-moisture zones in the active layer of permafrost soils and are important solute and water pathways in the

On new estimation of the remainder in generalized Taylor's formula [PDF]
\textit{S. S. Dragomir} [Math. Inequal. Appl. 2, No. 2, 183-193 (1999; preceding review)] has obtained a generalized Taylor formula for functions of one variable. This paper contains improvements and generalizations of Dragomir's results. Applications to calculations of the logarithmic function are given.
