Low-complexity channel estimation in massive MIMO based on Kaptyn series expansion

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2016
In order to reduce the complexity of the massive MIMO channel estimation, a channel estimation method based on Kapteyn series expansion was proposed. By using Taylor series to expand the inversion, the complexity was greatly reduced.

Bias Compensation for AOA-Geolocation of Known Altitude Target Using Single Satellite

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
To reduce the passive localization bias caused by the nonlinearity between the target position and measurements under high noise level and poor geometry conditions, the bias compensation method for known altitude target geolocation using angles of ...

Taylor series solution of the M/M/1 queueing system

open access: yes, 1992
A Taylor series method for determining the transient probabilities of the classical single server queueing system is presented. The method is direct, practical and avoids Bessel function theory, Laplace transform theory and complex analysis.

Multifactor Risk Stratification for Post‐Transplant Alcohol Relapse Using Abstinence, Psychosocial, and Socioeconomic Factors

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Alcohol relapse after liver transplantation is difficult to predict using abstinence duration alone. We developed a multifactor model integrating abstinence duration, psychosocial risk (SIPAT), and socioeconomic context (AUC 0.70). This approach may support individualized risk assessment and tailored follow‐up intensity; external validation is needed ...

Convergent Power Series of sech⁡(x) and Solutions to Nonlinear Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
It is known that power series expansion of certain functions such as sech⁡(x) diverges beyond a finite radius of convergence. We present here an iterative power series expansion (IPS) to obtain a power series representation of sech⁡(x) that is convergent

Dictionary‐based weak‐form training for noise‐robust series hybrid models with multiplicative unknowns

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybrid modeling combines first‐principles equations with a data‐driven subcomponent. Training for the data‐driven part is sensitive to measurement noise when training targets are constructed using pointwise time derivatives. Beyond differentiation errors, hybrid models involve solving an inverse problem to estimate the data‐driven term, which ...

Use Sequences to improve the numerical Riemann method to calculate integrals [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 1999
The purpose of this research is the improvement of the numerical Riemann's integral using series. Riemann's method displayed in this research and we suggested an algorithm to improve the convergence using Geometric series, p-series and Taylor series for ...

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...
