Recent Neutrino Data and Type III Seesaw with Discrete Symmetry
In light of the recent neutrino experiment results from Daya Bay and RENO Collaborations, we study phenomenology of neutrino mixing angles in the Type III seesaw model with an discrete $A_4 \times Z_2$ symmetry, whose spontaneously breaking scale is much

Abstract Aims The study aims to develop a physiologically‐based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model to quantitatively evaluate the role of ATP‐binding cassette sub‐family B member 1 (ABCB1) and ATP‐binding cassette super‐family G member 2 (ABCG2) in the drug–drug interaction (DDI) between rifampin and linezolid and to predict the impact of high‐dose rifampin ...

We report the synthesis bis(arylethynyl)naphtho‐ and anthraquinones via Rh(I)‐catalyzed [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition reactions. The substrate scope of both quinones and linked bis‐diynes was explored. Microwave irradiation remarkably enhanced yields.

Tuberculous meningitis is associated with higher cerebrospinal HIV-1 viral loads compared to other HIV-1-associated meningitides. [PDF]
To gain a better understanding of the immunopathogenesis of tuberculous meningitis (TBM) and identify potential diagnostic biomarkers that may discriminate TBM from other HIV-1-associated meningitides, we assessed HIV-1 viral load levels, drug resistance

Perturbing exactly tri-bimaximal neutrino mixings with charged lepton mass matrices
We study perturbations of exactly tri-bimaximal neutrino mixings under the assumption that they are coming solely from the charged lepton mass matrix.

Probing minimal supergravity in the type-I seesaw mechanism with lepton flavour violation at the CERN LHC [PDF]
The most general supersymmetric seesaw mechanism has too many parameters to be predictive and thus can not be excluded by any measurements of lepton flavour violating (LFV) processes.

This article aims to investigate the dynamic fracture response of fractured tunnel models under zero geological stress through physical experiments and numerical simulations. It further simulates the dynamic fracture characteristics of fractured tunnel models under geological stress ranging from 0 to 2.5 MPa using the numerical software AUTODYN ...

The rock failure mode is significantly influenced by the contributing factors, such as the joint inclination, the initial confining pressure, and the unloading point. We found six typical rock failure modes after a large number of numerical tests. Abstract Excavation unloading damages rock masses, with preferential failure along geological defects in ...

Deciphering Genetic Susceptibility to Tuberculous Meningitis
Tuberculous meningitis (TBM) is the most severe form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis (TB) that arises when a caseating meningeal granuloma discharges its contents into the subarachnoid space.
