Unraveling Hydride‐Driven Multiphasic Reduction Toward Tunable Germanium Structures for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The sodium hydride (NaH)‐mediated reduction of germanium dioxide yields distinct Ge structures depending on the amount of reductant, revealing the dual roles of NaH in the reduction pathways. The synthesized Ge under off‐stoichiometric conditions exhibits a porous morphology and reduced crystallinity, which effectively mitigates volume expansion during

Topology Analysis of International Networks Based on Debates in the United Nations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In complex, high dimensional and unstructured data it is often difficult to extract meaningful patterns. This is especially the case when dealing with textual data. Recent studies in machine learning, information theory and network science have developed

OER Activity Promoted by Organic Ligand‐Free Cs2Pt(Cl, Br)6 Perovskite Photocatalyst for Solar‐Driven Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
This study explores Cs2PtX6 (X = Cl, Br) lead‐free perovskites as sustainable photocatalysts for solar‐driven water splitting. Cs2PtBr6 outperforms Cs2PtCl6 in oxygen evolution due to its narrower bandgap and efficient charge carrier dynamics, enabling enhanced light absorption and charge separation.

Quantification of Gaseous Products Evolved at Industrially Relevant Current Densities During CO2 Electroreduction and Water Electrolysis Using Online Gas Chromatography

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The dilution of gaseous products obtained at high‐current densities during CO2 electroreduction or water electrolysis enables their accurate quantification via online gas chromatography, which is crucial for reliable catalyst benchmarking. The corresponding Faradaic efficiencies can then be calculated with low deviations using two different instruments,

Transcranial doppler: Technique and common findings (Part 1)

open access: yesAnnals of Indian Academy of Neurology, 2013
Transcranial Doppler (TCD) can be aptly called as the doctor′s stethoscope of the brain. Since its introduction in 1982, by Rune Aaslid, TCD has evolved as a diagnostic, monitoring, and therapeutic tool.

Restricting Copper Reconstruction with Ultrathin Polydopamine for Selective and Stable Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Reaction to C2 Products

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
An ultrathin polydopamine coating on copper microcubes mitigates the surface reconstruction during EC‐CO2RR. Copper nanocubes form on the surface of the microcubes in the early stages of the EC‐CO2RR, contributing to suppressed surface reconstruction and sustained Faradaic efficiency for C2 products.

The predictive value of transcranial duplex sonography for the clinical diagnosis in undiagnosed parkinsonian syndromes: comparison with SPECT scans

open access: yesBMC Neurology, 2008
Background Transcranial duplex sonography (TCD) of the substantia nigra has emerged as a promising, non-invasive tool to diagnose idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD). However, its diagnostic accuracy in patients with undefined parkinsonism remains to be

Quantum Mott Transition and Multi-Furcating Criticality

open access: yes, 2004
Phenomenological theory of the Mott transition is presented. When the critical temperature of the Mott transition is much higher than the quantum degeneracy temperature, the transition is essentially described by the Ising universality class.

Antioxidant ativity of dichloromethane extract from cocoa pod husk (Theobroma cacao L.)

open access: yesJurnal Natural
Theobroma cacao L. is a plant that is reported to have strong antioxidant potential. A study was carried out to determine the antioxidant activity of dichloromethane extract of cocoa pod husk using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). The cocoa pod husk
