TCF BLEACHING OF KRAFT PULPS WITH LACCASE AND XYLANASE

Journal of Wood Chemistry and Technology, 2001
The paper shows the results of hydrogen peroxide and ozone bleaching with the use of laccase-mediator-system (LMS) and a combination of laccase and xylanase. The TCF bleaching of birch and pine kraft pulps before as well as after oxygen delignification is particularly effective in the following bleaching sequences: LQPZP, LZQPP and ZLQPP.

Preliminary studies on TCF bleaching of Pinus pinaster acetosolv pulps

Bioresource Technology, 2002
Oxygen pre-treatment of Pinus pinaster acetosolv pulps has been studied as a first step towards TCF bleaching. Using a 2(3) factorial design, the influence of temperature (80-120 degrees C), time (1-2 h) and NaOH concentration (1.5-3%) on pulp yield in the oxygen stage, chemical composition and physical properties of the pulps obtained was studied ...

Bleaching of bagasse-pulp using short TCF and ECF sequence

Nordic Pulp & Paper Research Journal, 2021
Abstract More than 70 % bleached chemical pulp is produced in India through elemental chlorine-free bleaching in which chlorine-based compounds like chlorine dioxide is a dominant chemical which generates chlorinated organic toxins harmful to the environment.

Environmental Aspects of ECF vs. TCF Pulp Bleaching

2020
This paper provides an update on the environmental aspects of elemental chlorine free (ECF) vs. totally chlorine free (TCF) pulp bleaching with an emphasis on literature published during the last two years. In general, there is no evidence of any adverse effects related to the use of chlorine dioxide, i.e., the trace amounts of chlorinated organics ...

Study on TCF Bleaching of Reed Displacement Cooking Pulp

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
With the improvement of environmental protection requirements, paper-making enterprises are imperative to eliminate pollution directly in production. This paper aims to adopt environment-friendly bleaching method, yield good quality pulp products. Op-Pa-P bleaching process of reed displacement cooking pulp is studied in this paper (O-oxygen, P-hydrogen

Xylanase- and mannanase-aided ECF and TCF bleaching

Tappi Journal, 1996
This work studies the effects of T. reesei xylanase and mannanase treatments on the bleaching of radiata pine and northern pine sulfate pulps in three-stage peroxide- and chlorine dioxide-based DED bleaching sequences. The xylanase treatment was more effective in enhancing pulp bleaching than the mannanase treatment Pulp origin, method of pulping, and ...

Dissolving pulp from TCF bleached Acetosolv beech pulp

Journal of Chemical Technology & Biotechnology, 2004
AbstractBeech wood samples subjected to pulping in HCl‐catalysed acetic acid media (Acetosolv process) under selected conditions were bleached using several Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) sequences including peracetic acid (Paa), alkaline (E), oxygen (O), chelating (Q) and peroxide (P) treatments.
