tDCS-Pharmacotherapy Interactions

2021
Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) noninvasively induces cortical excitability alterations via application of continuous, weak direct current through the scalp and has been adopted in clinical settings, particularly in psychiatry, as adjunctive treatment option.

Impact of tDCS and HD-tDCS on tinnitus perception: A scoping review

2021
Tinnitus is the auditory phantom perception of a sound that severely affects the quality of life of over 300,000 people in the United Kingdom alone. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a noninvasive brain stimulation tool, which has been investigated as a potential tinnitus management option since 2006. This study aimed to investigate the

The flash-TDC

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1989
Abstract A circuit is presented which uses FADCs for instantaneous time digitization at regular clock intervals. It allows the construction of pipeline TDCs with a resolution of a small fraction of the clock time. In measurements with a 100 MHz, 8-bit FADC a resolution of ≈ 30 ps has been obtained.

tDCS possibly stimulates glial cells

Clinical Neurophysiology, 2012
Explore the possibility that transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) of the brain affects glial cells.Cable theory is used to estimate roughly transmembrane potential in neurons and glial cells. tDCS is additionally compared to neuronal stimulation techniques for which the mechanisms are well known.Theoretical calculations indicated that tDCS ...

Designing Synchronizers for Nutt-TDCs

2019 5th International Conference on Event-Based Control, Communication, and Signal Processing (EBCCSP), 2019
Applications requiring both high resolution time measurement and large dynamic range demand for the integration of high-performance Time-to-Digital Converters (TDCs) and coarse counting methods which operate asynchronously. When using two asynchronous counting methods, the use of a synchronization mechanism is mandatory to correct metastability errors.
