Multiple Access of MIMO OFDMA: TDMA, FDMA/TDMA, or SDMA/FDMA/TDMA

2006 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems, 2006
Multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) can greatly enhance the performance of wireless system. However, the limited battery life and terminal size of the user equipment (UE) in a cellular system put a constraint on the performance enhancement by MIMO.

Greedy Scheduling of MIMO OFDMA: TDMA, FDMA/TDMA, or SDMA/FDMA/TDMA

IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference, 2006
In multiuser MIMO system, multiuser multiplexing and diversity gain can be achieved by spatial scheduling. However, the limited battery life and terminal size of the User Equipment (UE) in a cellular system put a constraint on MIMO when the tranmitter has more antenna than the receiver in downlink, the conventional MIMO schemes can only exploit partial

Network Control for Multibeam TDMA and SS/TDMA

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1983
This paper concentrates on the control of individual burst transmissions of traffic and reference stations in TDMA and SS/ TDMA networks. In a TDMA system, the principal task of a TDMA terminal is to transmit each burst at the proper time to assure that, at the satellite, the burst resides in its assigned location in the TDMA frame.

Learning, self-scheduling TDMA (LeSS-TDMA) for sensor networks

2008 IEEE Sensors, 2008
This paper proposes LeSS-TDMA, a novel approach for scheduling TDMA activity in a sensor network, where nodes create their own schedules by learning from previous activity. The protocol uses routing information to establish a schedule appropriate for periodical data gathering, which is the main traffic type in sensor networks.

Multi-code TDMA (MC-TDMA) for multimedia satellite communications

Proceedings of ICC'97 - International Conference on Communications, 2002
In this paper, we propose a multiple access scheme based on a hybrid combination of TDMA and CDMA, referred to as multi-code TDMA (MC-TDMA). The underlying TDMA frame structure allows for the transmission of variable bit rate (VBR) information, while the CDMA provides inherent statistical multiplexing.
