RD-TDMA: A Randomized Distributed TDMA Scheduling for Correlated Contention in WSNs

2014 28th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications Workshops, 2014
In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), contention occurs when two or more nodes in a proximity simultaneously try to access the channel. The contention causes collisions, which are very likely to occur when traffic is correlated. The excessive collision not only affects the reliability and the QoS of the application, but also the lifetime of the network ...

On TDMA scheduling in wireless sensor networks

2016 IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE), 2016
We study the problem of finding an efficient schedule for convergecast in a wireless sensor network, using the SINR model of interference, and a TDMA protocol for medium access. We compare two approaches to computing a minimum length schedule for the TDMA frame.

Energy-Efficient TDMA Scheduling for UVS Tactical MANET

IEEE Communications Letters, 2019
In a tactical mobile ad-hoc network (MANET), unmanned vehicles are deployed for surveillance and reconnaissance. They send multimedia data to a center node in real time.

A decentralized adaptive TDMA scheduling strategy for VANET

2013 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference Workshops (WCNCW), 2013
In this paper, a decentralized adaptive TDMA scheduling strategy (DATS) for Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) with the ability of reducing the collision of nodes occupying the same slot is proposed. In DATS, slots are divided into left and right slot sets. The ratio between the two slot sets can be adjusted according to the node density.

Efficient algorithms for SS/TDMA scheduling

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1992
Efficient scheduling algorithms for the slot assignment problem in a satellite-switched time-division multiple-access (SS/TDMA) system are presented. This problem is translated into a modified open-shop scheduling problem, allowing the use of known optimal algorithms.
