TREATMENT OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER USING REVERSE OSMOSIS TECHNIQUE

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2009
Reverse osmosis technique was used for the treatment of industrial waste water. Ions like calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfate, and nitrate were found in the waste water of the General Company of Vegetable Oil with high concentrations which must be ...

Focal plane detection via holographic autofocusing criterion applied on Terahertz TDS system

open access: yes, 2018
Holographic autofocusing technique is applied on a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system to improve focus accuracy. We experimentally perform the focus plane detection with TDS measurement. Amplitude and phase information at different wavelengths are

On‐Water Surface Synthesis of 2D Conjugated Metal–Organic Framework Films With Controllable Layer Orientation Enabling High‐Performance Chemiresistive Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Layer orientation dictates charge transport in 2D conjugated metal–organic frameworks, yet controllable methods remain scarce. We report surfactant monolayer‐assisted on‐water synthesis of cm2‐scale Ni‐HHTP films with programmable face‐on and edge‐on orientations.

Development of an Optimal Coordination Scheme For Dual Relay Setting In Distribution Network Using Smell Agent Optimization Algorithm

open access: yesCovenant Journal of Engineering Technology, 2022
This research work is aimed at developing an optimal coordination scheme for dual relay settings in distribution system. The fault current through a relay in forward direction is usually higher than that in the reverse direction for distribution system.

Naphthyridine‐Based Donor–Acceptor Boron Difluoride Complexes Targeting Red Emission in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Four donor–acceptor boron difluoride complexes based on triphenylamine donor and a naphthyridine acceptor units were synthesized, studied, and applied as OLED emitters. They exhibit pronounced intramolecular charge transfer character, balanced charge transport properties, and tunable emission. Near‐unity PLQYs are achieved for selected compounds, while

Unraveling G‐Quadruplex and i‐Motif Coexistence Within a Double‐Stranded DNA

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The relative thermodynamic profiles of G‐quadruplex (G4), i‐Motif (iM), and the duplex counterpart tune the simultaneous G4 and iM formation within a double‐stranded (ds) DNA. ABSTRACT DNA can transiently fold into variable arrangements, which are expected to exploit regulatory functions. Guanine‐rich sequences can fold into G‐quadruplexes (G4s), while

Characterization of the remediation of chromium ion contamination with bentonite by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Heavy metal pollution of agricultural and urban soils limits economic progress in the rapidly developing society. Terahertz technology is applied to detect heavy metal pollutants under existence of multiple pathways of their dissemination. In this study,

QBP1 Peptide as a Potential Anti‐Amyloidogenic Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The anti‐amyloidogenic peptide QBP1 effectively halts human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) aggregation, preventing the formation of toxic β‐structured intermediates. Through a combination of biophysical assays, molecular dynamics, and cell‐based studies, QBP1 is shown to preserve β‐cell viability and metabolic homeostasis, positioning it as a ...

Iterative Synthesis of Pyrene–Coronene Molecular Graphene Nanoribbons

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An iterative approach delivers a new family of undoped, cove‐edged graphene nanoribbons with lengths up to 9.1 nm that exhibit both molar absorptivity and fluorescence brightness values on the order of 105 M−1 cm−1 and an intrinsic charge‐carrier mobility of 475 ± 32 cm2 V−1 s−1.
