Iterative image reconstruction of two-dimensional scatterers illuminated by TE waves [PDF]
The iterative reconstruction of unknown objects from TE-measured scattered field data is presented. The paper investigates the performance of the iterative multiscaling approach (IMSA) in exploiting transverse electric (TE) illuminations. As a matter of fact, in these conditions, the problem turns out to be more complicated than the tranverse magnetic (

Universal diagrams for te waves guided by thin films bounded by saturable nonlinear media [PDF]
It is shown that universal V-b diagrams provide a powerful tool when analyzing the stationary waveguiding properties of the TE waves guided by a thin film bounded by a saturable nonlinear substrate or cladding.

Extraordinary localization of TE-waves at the graphene layer [PDF]
The propagation of electromagnetic waves along the surface of a nonlinear dielectric covered by a graphene layer is investigated. The main result is that such a surface can support and stabilize nonlinear transverse electric (TE) plasmon polaritons.

Broadband THz Absorber for Large Inclination Angle TE and TM Waves
Terahertz (THz) electromagnetic wave absorbers are finding new applications both in military and civilian sectors. This is the reason why constant efforts have been made worldwide to enhance the working performance of these absorbers. One downside of the

Surface Waves on Self-Complementary Metasurfaces: All-Frequency Hyperbolicity, Extreme Canalization, and TE-TM Polarization Degeneracy [PDF]
Self-complementary metasurfaces have gained significant attention due to their unique frequency-independent transmission and reflection properties and the possibility of the polarization transformation of plane waves.

TE-wave propagation in graded waveguide structures
We investigate TE-wave propagation in a hollow waveguide with a graded dielectric layer, described using a hyperbolic tangent function. General formulae for the electric field components of the TE-waves, applicable to hollow waveguides with arbitrary cross sectional shapes, are presented.

Testing Born-Infeld electrodynamics in waveguides [PDF]
Waveguides can be employed to test non-linear effects in electrodynamics. We solve Born-Infeld equations for TE waves in a rectangular waveguide. We show that the energy velocity acquires a dependence on the amplitude, and harmonic components appear as a
