Exact Theory of TE-Wave Scattering From Blazed Dielectric Gratings
Bell System Technical Journal, 1976We present an exact description of scattering of an incident plane wave with te-polarization at an interface between two dielectric media that is deformed by a grating with triangularly shaped teeth. The theory employs an expansion in plane waves outside of the grating region and describes the field in the grating region as a double Fourier series ...

Numerical solution of nonlinear TE waves in multilayered dielectric structures
15th International Conference on Infrared and Millimeter Waves, 1990A numerical solution for nonlinear TE guided waves in multilayer dielectric structures is presented. No restriction is imposed on the number of layers, on the type of the nonlinearity non on the distribution of linear refractive index distribution. This solution allows the investigation of the occurrence of hysteresis, instability of the waves and ...

TE-wave scattering by a multiangular trough in a conducting plane
MMET Conference Proceedings. 1998 International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory. MMET 98 (Cat. No.98EX114), 2002Electromagnetic scattering of a transverse electric wave by an infinite loaded trough of a multiangular cross-section is studied using the domain product technique which employs a Mathieu function expansion. The algorithm gives the possibility of a substantial variation of the geometry of the trough without turning to another mathematical model ...

High-Order NystrÖm Solution of the Volume - EFIE for TE-Wave Scattering
Electromagnetics, 2001In this paper, a high-order technique based on a locally-corrected Nystrom scheme is applied to the solution of electromagnetic scattering problems via the volume electric field integral equation. The locally corrected Nystrom method is detailed for the solution of the vector polarization currents.

Interaction of TM/ TE waves with graphite and MWCNT photonic crystals
2016 24th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE), 2016In this paper, we study the regular interaction of wave with graphite for TM/TE polarization, and compare the results with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) photonic crystal (PhC). Due to the anisotropic behavior of graphite, two different dielectric constants are used for the polarized light which is parallel or perpendicular to the graphite sheet

Shadow Theory of Diffraction Grating: A Numerical Example for TE Wave
IEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2009By use of the shadow theory developed recently, this paper deals with the transverse electric (TE) wave diffraction by a perfectly conductive periodic array of rectangular grooves. A set of equations for scattering factors and mode factors are derived and solved numerically.

TE-wave scattering and transmission from misaligned dual-metallic grating screens
2017 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (ISAP), 2017This paper presents a rigorous analysis of electromagnetic scattering and transmission of dual-metallic grating screens. The Fourier transform is used to represent the electric and magnetic fields in the spectral domain and the boundary conditions are enforced to obtain simultaneous equations using the mode-matching technique.

Te-waves guided by arbitrary nonlinear dielectrics bounded by linear media
International Journal of Infrared and Millimeter Waves, 1993Considerable interest is currently being devoted to nonlinear propagation in dielectric slab waveguides for integrated optics and millimetric applications. Much of the current work is based on Kerr-like (∈ ∼E2) nonlinear media and numerically discussed. We present a exact solution of TE-waves for arbitrary nonlinear dielectric (∈ ∼ |E|δ).
