The Relation between Invasive and Noninvasive Tear Break-Up Time

Tear break‐up time is related to blink frequency
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1991Abstract The relationship between tear break‐up time and blink frequency was investigated in a group of 41 subjects. A significant relationship between tear breakup time and blinking was found. This suggests that tear stability plays an important role in stimulating normal involuntary blinking.
