A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Technical Analysis as a Method of Risk Management [PDF]

open access: yes
While the academic world is still discussing if charting works or if it is more or less something like "Voodoo finance", the practical orientated world has been using technical analysis for decades.

Analysis of Technical Energy Losses by Using Simulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Model is a representation of a system. Through model, it can be easier to forecast and control the changing of eachelement system. Electricity distribution is also a system. Losses are general problem that exist in a distribution networksystem.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Human response to vibration in residential environments (NANR209), executive summary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The aim of the Defra-funded project NANR209 ‘Human response to vibration in residential environments’ was to develop exposure-response relationships for vibration experienced in residential environments from sources outside of the residents’ control. The

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Comparative Analysis of Technical Efficiency in European Agriculture [PDF]

open access: yes
Technical efficiency has long been analysed as a measure of farm performance, however most studies are restricted to a single country case. This paper presents a comparative analysis of field crop and dairy farm performance across eight EU countries ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...
