Technicolor in the presence of extended technicolor interactions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1990
Abstract We study technicolor dynamics in the presence of heavy extended technicolor gauge boson exchange. We derive the effective potential which is then studied numerically in order to obtain the criticality curve, and consider the effect of making the four-fermion approximation.

Electroweak Symmetry Breaking from Gauge/Gravity Duality

open access: yes, 2010
We use the gauge/gravity duality to study a model of walking technicolor. The latter is a phenomenologically promising framework for dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking.

Dark Majorana Particles from the Minimal Walking Technicolor

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate the possibility of a dark matter candidate emerging from a minimal walking technicolor theory. In this case techniquarks as well as technigluons transform under the adjoint representation of SU(2) of technicolor.

Composite scalars at CERN LEP: Constraining technicolor theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
LEPI and LEPII data can be used to constrain technicolor models with light, neutral pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone bosons, Pa. We use published limits on branching ratios and cross sections for final states with photons, large missing energy, jet pairs, and b ...

A Composite Higgs Model with Minimal Fine-Tuning I.~The Large-N and Weak-technicolor Limit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We suggest a criterion to minimize the amount of fine-tuning in a composite Higgs model. The paradigm of this type of model is the top-condensate model of Bardeen, Hill and Lindner (BHL).

Technicolor and Precision Tests of the Electroweak Interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Precision electroweak measurements have been claimed to eliminate almost all models of technicolor. We show that the assumptions made to calculate the oblique parameters $S$,$T$,$U$ apply to QCD--like technicolor models which were ruled out long ago on ...

Dynamical Computation on Coefficients of Electroweak Chiral Lagrangian from One-doublet and Topcolor-assisted Technicolor Models

open access: yes, 2007
Based on previous studies deriving the chiral Lagrangian for pseudo scalar mesons from the first principle of QCD, we derive the electroweak chiral Lagrangian and build up a formulation for computing its coefficients from one-doublet technicolor model ...

Flavor constraints in a Bosonic Technicolor model

open access: yes, 2011
Flavor constraints in a bosonic Technicolor model are considered. We illustrate different sources for their origin, and emphasize in particular the role played by the vector states present in the Technicolor model.
