Diverging in Vivo Immune Response Patterns After Oral Food Challenge in Peanut Allergic Adults

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
After the oral food challenge, peanut (PN)‐allergic adults were monitored over 4 weeks, which revealed diverging immune response patterns, with strong responders (SR) exhibiting heightened Ara h 2+ B cell expansion, PN sIgE induction and increasing PN‐specific Tconv. Weak responders (WR) had more activated PN‐specific Tregs.

Measurement of the Multi-TeV Neutrino Interaction Cross-Section with IceCube Using Earth Absorption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Neutrinos interact only very weakly, so they are extremely penetrating. The theoretical neutrino–nucleon interaction cross-section, however, increases with increasing neutrino energy, and neutrinos with energies above 40 teraelectronvolts (TeV) are ...

Real‐world management of adjuvant systemic melanoma therapy: Multi‐center survey of 51 DeCOG skin cancer centers

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background Adjuvant immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) and targeted therapy (TT) have revolutionized treatment management for patients with melanoma. However, the current German S3 guideline does not differentiate between patients with and without adjuvant therapy in its recommendations for imaging intervals and follow‐up monitoring, leading to

Delphi Consensus Recommendations for the Definition of a Severe Bleeding Phenotype and Initiation of Prophylaxis in Patients With Non‐Severe Haemophilia

open access: yesHaemophilia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Current guidelines recommend prophylaxis for patients with non‐severe haemophilia with severe bleeding phenotype (SBPT) but there is no consensus how to define a SBPT and when to recommend prophylaxis in patients with non‐severe haemophilia. Method A Delphi consensus procedure among the members of the Standing Committee Hemophilia

We Value Your Privacy: Behavior‐Based Pricing Under Endogenous Privacy

open access: yesJournal of Economics &Management Strategy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study a duopoly model of behavior‐based pricing in which consumers can either disclose or hide their data. We contrast two data policies. Under an open data policy, disclosed data is shared with all firms. In the unique equilibrium, all consumers disclose, and firms price discriminate, leading to welfare losses from inefficient poaching ...

The Ecology of Human Sleep (EcoSleep) Cohort Study: Protocol for a longitudinal repeated measurement burst design study to assess the relationship between sleep determinants and outcomes under real‐world conditions across time of year

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 34, Issue 2, April 2025.
Summary The interplay of daily life factors, including mood, physical activity, or light exposure, influences sleep architecture and quality. Laboratory‐based studies often isolate these determinants to establish causality, thereby sacrificing ecological validity.

Unfinished business: A grounded theory analysis of change among individuals classified as numerical non‐responders to psychodynamic psychotherapy for post‐traumatic stress disorder related to childhood maltreatment

open access: yesPsychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Individuals with post‐traumatic stress disorder related to childhood maltreatment (PTSD‐CM) show limited response to treatment on pre‐post‐symptom measures. While a nuanced understanding of nonresponse is crucial for improving treatment, quantitative measures may not fully capture clinically meaningful processes of change from the ...

How to Match Cognitive Model Predictions With EEG Data

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Reliably identifying relevant brain areas implicated by the simulated activity from cognitive models is still an unsolved problem for cognitive modeling, particularly when matching model output with human electroencephalography (EEG) data. We propose a new method involving postprocessing of ACT‐R module activity and clustered EEG component ...
