Techno-economic analysis of international mobile roaming
IEEE Wireless Communications, 2008The impact of regulatory pressure to reduce international mobile roaming (IMR) charges, especially in Europe, and the potential competition from other technology alternatives will be the main motivations for existing mobile operators to find solutions that will reduce the cost of operations and increase maintain the revenue margins, while maintaining ...

Techno-economic analysis of hybrid layered manufacturing
International Journal of Intelligent Systems Technologies and Applications, 2008Subtractive manufacturing (CNC machining) has high quality of geometric and material properties but is slow, costly and infeasible in some cases; additive manufacturing Rapid Prototyping (RP) is just the opposite. Total automation and hence speed is achieved in RP by compromising on quality.

The Techno-Economic: Perspectives for Analysis and Intervention
The Journal of Technology Transfer, 1999This paper compares the macro- and micro- analyses of techno-economic change. Arguing for perspectives which are sensitive to the local flexibility of innovation but which can also provide suggestions for policy and intervention, it describes and reviews the two major contributions: work on Techno-Economic Networks, and on Techno-Economic Paradigms. It

Techno-economic analysis of typical dryers
Energy Conversion and Management, 1991Abstract Techno-economic analysis of typical dryers with different kinds of energy sources has been carried out. It is found that the plastic collectors of life 5–10 yr are the cheapest among all the energy systems. The conventional collectors of lifetime equal to or more than 20 yr are, however, economical when compared with other fuel systems.

Techno-economic Analysis of Inhouse Cabling for FTTH
2011Through this paper we propose an effective methodology for the development of a comprehensive cost model for Inhouse Cabling in FTTH. The techno-economic modeling for Inhouse Cabling has been thoroughly investigated. A cost model is being developed and some case studies for multiple network scenarios are also being undertaken in order to assess the ...

Techno-economic analysis of membrane reactors
2023Membrane reactors are often used as an advancement of existing technologies. By integrating reaction and separation in a single vessel, the efficiency may increase. However, the real indicator that shows if the membrane reactor is outperforming a conventional system is the final cost of the product.

Techno-Economic Analysis of a Glycerol Biorefinery
ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, 2018Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels, which is experiencing a steep growth in market size. Because the most common biodiesel production technology is based on the transesterification of triglycerides, a burgeoning amount of glycerol byproduct is obtained.

Techno-economic analysis of ammonia as hydrogen carrier
International Journal of Hydrogen EnergyAmmonia enables hydrogen transport in a higher energy density form, making it an efficient hydrogen carrier. Understanding the efficiency and economics of ammonia-based hydrogen transport is crucial and requires a detailed techno-economic analysis to benchmark the cost of hydrogen delivery via ammonia carrier against conventional pathways.
