Investigation of Microscopic Nonmetallic Inclusions in Powder Metallurgical High‐Speed Steels

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Methods for inclusion analysis are evaluated for suitability. Various powder metallurgical steels in different processing states are characterized. SEM/EDS data are further analyzed using analytical and statistical approaches. A thermodynamic method for determining inclusion phase composition is tested.

From the predator to the prey: a case study of the vulnerability of Harmonia axyridis to aggressive competitors

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
The level of aggressiveness of an individual is a factor that shapes intraguild predation (IGP) interactions. In Nabis americoferus, high aggressiveness leads to an increase in attack rate and IGP against Harmonia axyridis. Moreover, the absence of extraguild prey seems to exacerbate IGP. In docile N.
