100 GHz push-push oscillator in 90 nm CMOS technology
2007 European Microwave Integrated Circuit Conference, 2007A 100 GHz fixed-tuned oscillator was designed and fabricated using a 90 nm bulk CMOS process. Push-push mode was chosen to improve the power output. The oscillator exhibits ƒ{3 dBm output power at 101 GHz with 27 mW power consumption. The measured SSB phase noise is ƒ{85 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.

Ultradeep Drilling Pushes Drillstring Technology Innovations
SPE Drilling & Completion, 2007Summary Drilling ultradeep (UD) wells places significant requirements on the drillstring. Lengthy drillstrings lead to high tensile loads, which can lead to slip crushing of the drillstring; hoisting capacity issues; and drillpipe collapse capacity concerns at the blowout preventer (BOP).

Evaluating VoIP Technology — Technology Push/Market Pull
BT Technology Journal, 2001With many raised expectations of what it will offer, voice over IP has enjoyed a high profile in the communications industry. However, in common with any emerging technology, the reality of the functionality that available equipment can deliver is often at variance with such expectations.

Once in a while technology 'takes off' and enormous advances take place in a short time. The most dramatic recent example is of course the silicon integrated circuit and the solid state computer that uses it.
