100 GHz push-push oscillator in 90 nm CMOS technology

2007 European Microwave Integrated Circuit Conference, 2007
A 100 GHz fixed-tuned oscillator was designed and fabricated using a 90 nm bulk CMOS process. Push-push mode was chosen to improve the power output. The oscillator exhibits ƒ{3 dBm output power at 101 GHz with 27 mW power consumption. The measured SSB phase noise is ƒ{85 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.

Ultradeep Drilling Pushes Drillstring Technology Innovations

SPE Drilling & Completion, 2007
Summary Drilling ultradeep (UD) wells places significant requirements on the drillstring. Lengthy drillstrings lead to high tensile loads, which can lead to slip crushing of the drillstring; hoisting capacity issues; and drillpipe collapse capacity concerns at the blowout preventer (BOP).

Direct-Push Technology

2016
Direct-push technology (DPT) is a widely adopted, low-cost method for collecting groundwater samples from unconsolidated or semi-consolidated shallow aquifers without a need for permanent monitoring wells. DPT methods are also used to install permanent small-diameter monitoring wells.
