A Wagner–Meerwein‐Like Rearrangement Generates a Vinyl Group in the Biosynthesis of the Polychlorinated Lipopeptides Fischerazoles

The fischerazoles, unusual cyanobacterial chlorinated lipopeptides are reported. During their biosynthesis, a linear fatty acyl‐acyl carrier protein (ACP) precursor is rearranged through the action of the S‐adenosyl‐methionine (SAM)‐dependent methyltransferase FshF, to generate a pendant vinyl group.

Engineering Atomically Precise Cu4I4 Nanoclusters With Integrated Adsorption and Hydrogenation Functions for Efficient Photocatalytic Nitrate‐to‐Ammonia Conversion

Efficient photocatalytic nitrate‐to‐ammonia conversion is achieved over an atomically precise Cu4I4 motif through dual‐site cooperation. Lewis‐acidic Cu centers promote nitrate adsorption and activation, while adjacent I sites facilitate active hydrogen generation for stepwise hydrogenation.

Acceptor‐Doped Cerium Oxides Enabling Metallic Nanocatalyst Exsolution for Hydrogen Production From Ammonia

Outstanding catalytic results for NH3 decomposition for H2 production were obtained with metallic Ru, Rh, and RuRh nanoparticle‐exsolved CeO2‐based catalysts. Significant lower amounts of available superficial metallic fractions were needed in comparison to conventional Ru‐impregnated materials.
