Hominoid‐specific calretinin‐immunopositivity of the optic radiation (geniculocalcarine tract)
Calretinin‐immunostained coronal section through the primary (V1) and extrastriate (ExSt) cortex of the lar gibbon. Note that the optic radiation (OR) is strongly calretinin‐immunoreactive. This calretinin‐immunopositivity of the OR distinguishes the Hominoidea from other primates in terms of the neurochemistry of the OR.

Internal and tectonic evolution of Mercury
Mercury's geological and internal evolution presents an interesting enigma: are there conditions that allow for both apparently limited radial contraction over the last 4 billion years and sufficiently rapid core cooling at present to permit a hydromagnetic dynamo?

Tectonic interpretation of the connectivity of a multiscale fracture system in limestone [PDF]
This paper studies the statistics and tectonism of a multiscale natural fracture system in limestone. The fracture network exhibits a self‐similar characteristic with a correlation between its power law length exponent a and fractal dimension D, i.e., a ≈

Abstract The Aliança Formation (Jatobá Basin) represents lacustrine deposits formed in oxygenated waters that hosted a diverse fauna, including Hybodontiform sharks. Within this group, the Family Lonchidiidae comprises 11 valid genera, with Parvodus previously reported in Brazilian deposits from the Brejo Santo Formation (Araripe Basin, Late Jurassic ...

Basic characteristics of coalfield tectonic framework in China
The occurrence of coal-bearing strata in China is characterized by the variety of coal-bearing basins, the remarkable spatial and temporal differences of late tectonic deformations. The main controlling factors, which determine the tectonic framework of ...

Two-sided asymmetric subduction; implications for tectonomagmatic and metallogenic evolution of the Lut Block, Eastern Iran [PDF]
West directed subduction zones show common characteristics, such as low structural elevation, deep trench, steep slab and a conjugate back-arc basin that are opposite to those of the east directed subduction zones.

Indonesian inquiry: A narrative of biocultural teaching on Sulawesi Utara
Abstract Using phenomenology, narrative inquiry and autoethnographic approaches, this study analyses a program of faculty development conducted alongside the delivery of an international field school. Through this study, we explore the value and benefits of inter‐cultural field programming and how these might serve to complement or to redress ...

Geomorphic signal of active faulting at the northern edge of Lut Block. Insights on the kinematic scenario of Central Iran [PDF]
Recent works documented Neogene to Quaternary dextral strike-slip tectonics along the Kuh-e-Sarhangi and Kuh-e-Faghan intraplate strike-slip faults at the northern edge of the Lut Block of Central Iran, previously thought to be dominated by sinistral ...
