Abstract An important problem in the Earth sciences is extracting information about tectonic and other processes from topography. A general challenge is that geomorphic activity that we typically have little information about during the lifetime of a landscape can introduce geomorphic “noise”.

The Application of Assessment Indicators of Active Tectonic in Estimating Tectonic Status in Upper Zayandehroud Mahmood. Habibolahian M.S of Geomorphology University of Isfahan Dr. Mohammad Hosein. Ramesht Professor of Geography University of Isfahan [PDF]
Introduction Given that Iran is located on the Seismicity belt of Alps-Himalaya and since we occasionally have seen huge and destructive earthquakes such as Bam and Tarom, the investigation and study of active tectonic and assessment of threat and risk ...

Abstract This study focuses on the clustered landslide event triggered by intense rainfall on 16 June 2024 in the Fujian–Guangdong–Jiangxi border region, aiming to develop an efficient deep learning model for high‐accuracy landslide susceptibility mapping. Based on the mapped landslide distribution and insights from field investigations, we constructed

ABSTRACT The Gollum Channel System is a land‐detached large‐scale canyon‐channel system situated offshore southwest Ireland on the Northeast Atlantic margin. The system has been considered inactive with downslope gravity flows since the last glacial period, but geophysical data in some of its branches do suggest Holocene activity.

A palaeoecological approach to neotectonics : the geomorphic evolution of the Ntem River in and below its interior delta, SW Cameroon [PDF]
The Late Tertiary to Quaternary evolution of the Ntem interior delta in SW Cameroon shall be modelled. A step fault was formed along neotectonically remobilized Precambrian structures.

ABSTRACT Understanding the biotic and abiotic influences on the deposition and diagenesis of recent microbial carbonates is crucial for addressing the environmental and ecological significance of ancient organosedimentary structures. This study investigates these factors and their expression in the microstructure of Holocene tufa thrombolites from a ...

Progress in fluvial geomorphology and trend: A brief review
Significance As an important branch in earth system science, fluvial geomorphology is the study of fluvial erosion-transport-accumulation processes (source-to-sink system), temporal-spatial change in fluvial landscapes, and impact of tectonic, climate ...
