Tectono-metamorphic evolution of the Glenelg-Attadale Inlier, northwest Scotland
The Glenelg-Attadale Inlier (GAI) is the largest tract of exposed basement rocks underlying the Moine Supergroup of northwest Scotland. The GAI is divided into two distinct crustal units, the Western Unit (WU) and the Eastern Unit (EU).

Lithology and provenance of late Eocene - Oligocene sediments in eastern Taranaki Basin margin and implications for paleogeography [PDF]
The latest Eocene and Oligocene was a time of marked paleoenvironmental change in Taranaki Basin, involving a transition from the accumulation of coal measures and inner shelf deposits to the development of upper bathyal environments. Up until the end of

Phanerozoic Paleogeography Map (Paleoceanographic Mapping Project Progress Report No. 33-1287)
The enclosed figures illustrate continental geography and continental position for fourteen different times, ranging from 547 to 16 Ma. The paleogeography figures outline areas of shallow seas/continental margins, landmasses, and mountains with lightly ...

Late Ordovician Winds, Paleogeography, and UVic ESCM Code
These files contain the wind stress and paleogeography data generated by Herrmann et al. (2003) for a Late Ordovician climate study. The Fortran code and files were used in the UVic ESCM for a Late Ordovician setup, as the UVic ESCM contains a simple ...

Tectono-stratigraphic evolution during rifting of the southwestern Australian margin
Basin development and magmatism on the southwestern Australian margin are profoundly affected by continental breakup. Before and after breakup, sedimentary basins experienced regime switches in: fluvial-dominated to paralic sedimentation; paleo-drainage ...

The tectonics of the Central Anatolian crystalline complex: a structural, metamorphic and paleomagnetic study [PDF]
The Anatolian region is a segment of the Alpine-Himalayan orogen. The rocks presently exposed in Anatolia provide a geological record of the closure history of the Neotethyan Ocean(s) situated between the converging African and Eurasian continents during

Paleogeography of the Southwestern US
This slide show presents images which show the paleogeography of the southwestern United States from 1.8 billion years ago to 10 million years ago. The slide show was originally presented at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in 1997.
