Detecting telecommunication fraud by understanding the contents of a call

open access: yesCybersecurity, 2018
Telecommunication fraud has continuously been causing severe financial loss to telecommunication customers in China for several years. Traditional approaches to detect telecommunication frauds usually rely on constructing a blacklist of fraud telephone ...

Telecommunications and competitiveness

open access: yesRéseaux. The French journal of communication, 1994
Summary: When the relationship between the development of corporate telecommunications and competitiveness is considered, a number of terminological ambiguities should first be clarified. Three situations can then be defined and examined, according to whether telecommunications are considered as having a neutral, passive, or active role. The capacities

Curcuminoid Derivatives with a Donor‐Acceptor‐Donor Architecture: an Outstanding Platform for Highly‐Efficient Near‐Infrared Electroluminescence and Amplified Spontaneous Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Curcuminoid boron difluoride dyes containing triphenylamine units are prepared and their photophysical and electrochemical properties are investigated. These new light‐emitting dyes are used in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) emitting at 800 nm with 1% external quantum efficiency, and show low threshold amplified spontaneous emission in thin ...

Telecommunications at the crossroads in India

open access: yesIIMB Management Review, 2015
AbstractThe telecommunications sector is going through an interesting phase in its evolution. Cellular mobile service providers have been at the root of the massive expansion in the number of subscribers and usage. Since last year the pace of growth has slowed down and it is increasingly clear that revenues from voice services alone will not be ...

Demonstration of a Graphene Adjustable‐Barriers Phototransistor with Tunable Ultra‐High Responsivity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A novel graphene‐based phototransistor with a tunable ultra‐high responsivity of 1.7 x 107 AW−1 has been demonstrated. Due to the selected material combination of amorphous silicon, graphene and n‐germanium, the device is potentially capable of dual‐band detection in the VIS‐IR range.

Local Tuning of the Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Condition in Hybrid Silicon Waveguides Using Reactive Laser Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the use of reactive laser annealing to selectively tune the epsilon‐near‐zero condition of tin‐doped indium oxide patches integrated in silicon waveguides. This postgrowth annealing technique enables flexible control over the optical constants of transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) at critical telecom wavelengths, paving the way
