Advanced Materials, EarlyView.This study reports the first discovery of intrinsic mechanoluminescence in undoped AlN crystals, accompanied by pronounced photoluminescence and persistent luminescence. It further demonstrates a defect‐emission–driven multifunctional optical sensing platform for force, pressure, and temperature detection, achieving exceptional sensitivities.

Giant Berry‐phase‐Driven X‐Ray Beam Translations in Strain‐Engineered Semiconductor Crystals
Advanced Materials, EarlyView.Due to the Berry‐phase effect, X‐rays propagating in deformed crystals undergo large translations, interesting for X‐ray optics applications. Here, the lattice expansion observed upon H irradiation of dilute‐nitride semiconductors is exploited to engineer the deformation landscape of selectively hydrogenated GaAsN epilayers.

Advanced Materials, EarlyView.The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.
