Numerical Simulation of Three-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber With Large Group-Velocity Dispersion
The three-core photonic crystal fiber (TC-PCF) is proposed to obtain large group-velocity dispersion (GVD) because of the coupling effects between the fundamental modes (FMs) of the central core and higher-order modes (HOMs) of the two side cores.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons Fed Frequency-Scanning Open-Loop Antenna Arrays
Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) fed open-loop elements without a metallic ground plane are investigated for the SSPPs-based antenna design. By employing a straight SSPPs section close to the open end of the loop as the feed, the one-wavelength ...

Drawing telecommunication networks [PDF]
The design and analysis of cost effective survivable telecommunication networks is a very important problem. We study techniques for visualizing survivable telecommunication networks. The visualization of telecommunication networks is very useful in aiding the design process of minimum cost networks and the management of network operations.

Enhanced Self‐Phase Modulation in Silicon Nitride Waveguides Integrated With 2D MoS2 Films
ABSTRACT On‐chip integration of 2D materials provides a promising route toward next‐generation integrated optical devices with performance beyond existing limits. Here, significantly enhanced spectral broadening induced by self‐phase modulation (SPM) is experimentally demonstrated in silicon nitride (Si3N4) waveguides integrated with 2D monolayer ...

Synchronous Multi-Wavelength Ultra-Short-Pulse Laser With Arbitrary Wavelength Interval
Achieving multi-wavelength synchronous ultra-short pulses with arbitrary wavelength intervals is a difficult problem for fiber lasers. Herein, a laser based on multi-stage cascaded Mamyshev regenerators is proposed as a solution.
