Nonvolatile and Low‐Loss Reconfigurable Optical Switches Using Sb2S3 Phase Change Material

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Sb2S3‐assisted hybrid plasmonic waveguide‐based reconfigurable, nonvolatile 1 × 2 switch using an asymmetric directional coupler is presented. Its dual‐polarization functionality ensures its broader applicability and flexibility in integrated photonic systems where polarization diversity is often required.

Non‐Hermitian Topological Lattice Photonics: An Analytic Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This review establishes exact analytical solutions for non‐Hermitian Hatano–Nelson, Su–Schrieffer–Heeger, and generalized Rice–Mele models. We demonstrate non‐Hermitian skin effects via point‐gap topology, hybrid skin‐topological edge states in 2D lattices, and spin‐polarized boundary modes governed by dual bulk‐boundary correspondence.

Performance Analysis of User Pairing in Cooperative NOMA Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we study the coverage probability and average data rate of user pairing in cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks. With fixed locations of the source and typical user, the candidate users for pairing follow homogeneous ...

Transformer Encoder–Decoder Framework for Nonlinear Pulse Evolution and Inverse Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Modeling nonlinear pulse evolution in optical systems is key to advancing photonic technologies. A transformer‐based encoder‐decoder framework is proposed for both forward and inverse modeling, applied to supercontinuum generation. This approach captures complex dynamics efficiently, outperforming traditional methods in speed.

First‐Principles Investigation of the T‐ and M‐Centers in Silicon Using Meta‐GGA Functionals

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
The relaxed structure for (a) T‐center and (b) M‐center. The calculations on the T‐center demonstrate excellent agreement with the HSE06, reinforcing the efficiency of meta‐GGA approaches for accurate defect characterization in Si. The M‐center is introduced, revealing promising quantum optical properties.
