Diameter Dependence of the Transport Properties of Antimony Telluride Nanowires

open access: yes, 2010
We report measurements of electronic, thermoelectric, and galvanomagnetic properties of individual single crystal antimony telluride (Sb2Te3) nanowires with diameters in the range of 20-100 nm.

Self‐Assembled Cobalt Oxide Nanobeads on the Conducting Van der Waals Semi‐Metal PtTe2 for Catalytic Heterostructure

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled CoO nanobeads on the Van der Waals surface of PtTe2 were synthesized through simple thermal annealing utilizing the residual oxygen in the annealing chamber. In this study, the electrocatalytic effect for oxygen evolution reaction from CoO nanobeads on conducting PtTe2 was confirmed, elucidating the new pathway to design a ...

Optimizing Thermoelectric Efficiency in La_(3−x)Te_4 via Yb Substitution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A low temperature, solid state synthesis technique has enabled the production of homogeneous samples of La_(3−x−y)Yb_yTe_4. This allows the substitution of divalent Yb to be utilized to optimize the thermoelectric performance in lanthanum telluride.

Thermoelectric property studies on thallium-doped lead telluride prepared by ball milling and hot pressing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Thallium doping into lead telluride has been demonstrated to increase the dimensionless thermoelectric figure-of-merit (ZT) by enhancing Seebeck coefficient due to the creation of resonant states close to Fermi level without affecting the thermal ...

CADMIUM TELLURIDE

open access: yes, 2022
In the pursuit of creating efficient CdTe p-n homojunctions, we developed iodine (I) n-type doped CdTe using Cadmium Iodide (CdI2) as a dopant in varying concentrations (1018 cm-3, 1019 cm-3 and 1020 atoms·cm-3 target concentrations) in CdTe. Iodide doped crystals were grown using a Modified Vertical Bridgman furnace (MVB).

Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...

Bismuth and lead underpotential deposition on bismuth telluride: new insights into the electrochemical synthesis of bismuth telluride and evaluation of real surface area

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Химия, 2017
The underpotential deposition (UPD) processes of lead and bismuth on bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3) have been discovered with the underpotential shifts 0.3 V for Pb UPD and 0.1 V for Bi UPD.

Thermodynamic Analysis of the Defective Subsystem of Lead Telluride Crystals with Impurity of Oxygen

open access: yesФізика і хімія твердого тіла, 2019
Electrophysical properties (specific conductivity, Seebeck coefficient, Hall effect) of the lead telluride obtained by pressing of the powder were investigated. In this case, the powder was pre-heat treated at 300 oC in the air to saturate it with oxygen.

First-principles DFT + GW study of the Te antisite in CdTe

open access: yes, 2016
Formation energies, charge transitions levels, and quasiparticle defect states of the tellurium antisite $(\text{Te}_\text{Cd})$ in CdTe are addressed within the DFT${0.05cm}+{0.05cm}$\emph{GW} formalism.
