Anisotropic to Isotropic Transition in Monolayer Group-IV Tellurides
Monolayer group-IV tellurides with phosphorene-derived structures are attracting increasing research interest because of their unique properties. Here, we systematically studied the quasiparticle electronic and optical properties of two-dimensional group-

Adsorption of zinc on cadmium telluride and mercury telluride surfaces
Physical Review B, 1991Modifications of the surface properties of cadmium and mercury telluride due to the adsorption of zinc atoms are investigated. The bulk band structure is obtained by parametrizing the matrix elements in an empirical tight-binding Hamiltonian. A tellurium-terminated (111) surface is formed by introducing an infinite repulsive potential localized within ...

Abstract Mercury selenide, mercury telluride, and mercury telluride-cadmium telluride are semiconductors which have been investigated as intrinsic infrared detecting materials. Mercury selenide and mercury telluride in the photoelectromagnetic-Nernst configuration exhibit spectral and frequency responses indicative of thermal rather than photon ...

Abstract The Fourier transform Raman spectra of the liquid compounds (CH 3 ) 2 Te, (C 2 H 5 ) 2 Te, and ((CH 3 ) 3 C) 2 Te have been recorded and compared with the corresponding infrared spectra. To provide access to the region of the spectra below 300 cm −1 , “convensional” Raman spectra using 514.5 or 647.1 nm excitation were recorded, and the ...

Optical properties of zinc telluride with cadmium telluride submonolayers
Physics of the Solid State, 2016Reflection, luminescence, and Raman spectra of epitaxial ZnTe layers nominally incorporating double CdTe submonolayers were studied. The band of an exciton localized at the potential produced by narrow-gap planar inclusions dominated the luminescence of these heterostructures.
