In Situ Liquid‐Cell Transmission Electron Microscopy Insights Into Lithium‐Ion Battery Materials Degradation: Challenges and Emerging Solutions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 8, 9 February 2026.
Lithium‐ion battery degradation arises from complex, localized processes during operation, limiting long‐term performance. In situ electrochemical liquid cell TEM provides unique access to these mechanisms. This review summarizes degradation phenomena revealed by liquid cell TEM, traces the evolution of the three main cell designs, compares their ...

Siboglinidae Tubes as an Additional Niche for Microbial Communities in the Gulf of Cádiz—A Microscopical Appraisal

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2020
Siboglinids were sampled from four mud volcanoes in the Gulf of Cádiz (El Cid MV, Bonjardim MV, Al Gacel MV, and Anastasya MV). These invertebrates are characteristic to cold seeps and are known to host chemosynthetic endosymbionts in a dedicated ...

Oxidation Performance of NiCoCrAlYTa + 7YSZ Coatings With Ta Addition at Different Temperatures

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the morphology and oxidation behavior of thermally grown oxides (TGO) formed at the interface of NiCoCrAlYTa + 7YSZ (7 wt% Y2O3‐stabilized zirconia) coatings deposited by air plasma spray (APS) in air environments at 1050°C, 1100°C, and 1150°C. The enrichment of Ta‐rich oxides beneath the TGO, along with the segregation

Signaling pathway in breast cancer therapy [PDF]

open access: yesAvicenna Journal of Phytomedicine
Objective: This research attempted to increase the bioactivity and solubility and reduce the side effects of Tamoxifen (TMX) by using the cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) extracted from walnut shells as a carrier and studied the interaction behavior of CNCs-

Dislocation interaction with a tilt low‐angle grain boundary in bi‐crystal SrTiO3

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
A low‐angle tilt grain boundary (GB) was fabricated in SrTiO3 to study the dislocation and GB interaction at mesoscale. Dislocations were generated using Brinell indentation. Dislocation etch pit method and TEM observations both confirm dislocation pileup, storage, and transmission across the GB.

Fabrication of pH‐Responsive Thionine‐Conjugated Gold Nanoparticles for a Mediated Drug Delivery System Against Human Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Efficient and feasible therapeutic agent delivery into the tumor is an important task in cancer therapy. A pH‐sensitive link between trisodium citrate‐capped gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and thionine (TH) dye steps facilitates the conjugation. pH‐responsive drug release profiles were studied under different buffer conditions.
