User‐Generated Google Maps Ratings, State Staffing and Training Regulations, and the Quality of Hospice Care in Assisted Living Communities

open access: yesJournal of the American Geriatrics Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Hospice services are growing among Medicare beneficiaries, yet concerns remain about the hospice quality for residents in assisted living (AL) communities. Little is known about how AL characteristics and state regulations are associated with hospice care in these settings.

Aggregation and the Structure of Value

open access: yesNoûs, Volume 60, Issue 3, Page 619-644, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Roughly, the view I call “Additivism” sums up value across time and people. Given some standard assumptions, I show that Additivism follows from two principles. The first says that how lives align in time cannot, in itself, matter. The second says, roughly, that a world cannot be better unless it is better within some period or another.

Circular Economy‐Driven Cs/Sg/MGNPs/AC Composite for Efficient Methylene Blue Removal and Subsequent Valorization as a Urea Oxidation Electrocatalyst

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 32, August 20, 2026.
This image is a graphical abstract for outlining the synthesis, characterization, and application of a novel composite material designed to remove toxic pollutants (specifically Methylene Blue dye; MB) from water, and its subsequent use in electrochemical applications.

Waste Adsorbent Valorization of Biopolymer‐Modified Zn–Fe Layered Double Hydroxides for Crystal Violet Removal and Enhanced Nonenzymatic Urea Detection

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 August 2026.
This graphical abstract illustrates the synthesis of Zn–Fe LDH composites with biopolymers (chitosan, cellulose, and carrageenan) for the efficient removal of crystal violet dye. The resulting spent adsorbents are subsequently repurposed for electrocatalytic urea detection, demonstrating a sustainable, circular approach to wastewater treatment and ...

Five Decades of Research on Rape Myths and Victim Interpretation

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, Volume 44, Issue 4, Page 545-558, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Over the past 5 decades of social science research, scholars have examined false narratives and beliefs associated with rape and sexual assault (often called “rape myths”). This scoping review employs an innovative technique to sample and describe a large cohort of scholarly articles that investigate sexual assault victim interpretation and ...

Study on the equilibrium and kinetics of nickel (II) adsorption on cellulose from peanut shell modified with chitosan

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering
In this study, cellulose was produced by activating peanut shells with 5% NaOH as an alkaline agent and bleaching with 5 wt.% H2O2. Before being modified with chitosan, the cellulose was slightly oxidized with ammonium persulfate to introduce carboxyl ...
