(a) European river invertebrate communities showed an average increase in local richness over time (1994–2023), indicating partial local recovery following the alleviation of anthropogenic stress (e.g., point‐source pollution). However, this local recovery was not accompanied by increases in β‐diversity, likely due to persistent, unaddressed stressors,

A época de semeadura é, provavelmente, a prática cultural isoladamente mais importante para a soja [Glycine max (L.) Merrill]. A melhor época de semeadura para esta oleaginosa depende, principalmente, da temperatura do solo para a germinação e emergência,

Summary Acrylamide is a natural by‐product of the reaction that occurs during the baking or frying food at temperatures above 120°C in industry and in households. The main mechanism of acrylamide formation in food is the Maillard reaction, in which the free amino acid asparagine, which is found in many types of cereals and potatoes, reacts with ...

SOIL TEMPERATURE MODIFICATIONS CAUSED BY SOLARIZATION IN NURSERIES
Solarization effects on soil temperature were evaluated during the autumn. The increase in soil temperature caused by the use of transparent polyethylene (PE) low tunnels over solarized nurseries, in subtropical central region of the Rio Grande do Sul ...

Exploring the Effects of Ultrasound Processing on Food Packaging Laminated With Aluminum Foil
ABSTRACT This study investigates the effects of ultrasound (US) processing on laminated plastic packaging containing aluminum foil for food contact applications. Two multilayer structures, PET/Al/PE and PET/Al/PP, were exposed to US at 25 kHz and 8.75 W/L for up to 40 min at 25°C and 60°C, using a 3% acetic acid as a food simulant.

The niche is characterized along a gradient of temperature and microclimate refugia. Individuals in breeding areas with low microclimate refugia availability are more likely to cover larger distances to post‐breeding areas, increasing exposure to risks.

Treeline advance under warming occurs only when multiple filters align—adequate seed supply, favourable microclimatic windows, moderated herbivory and shrub effects that remain facilitative rather than competitive. Abstract Climate warming is expected to increase upslope shifts of alpine treelines globally.
