A multichannel radiometric profiler of temperature, humidity, and cloud liquid

Radio Science, 2003
A microwave radiometer is described that provides continuous thermodynamic (temperature, water vapor, and moisture) soundings during clear and cloudy conditions. The radiometric profiler observes radiation intensity at 12 microwave frequencies, along with zenith infrared and surface meteorological measurements.

Establishing temperature and humidity profiles in fluidized bed particulate coating

Powder Technology, 1997
A method for establishing temperature and humidity profiles inside a fluidized bed during particulate coating has been developed. The process involves direct measurement of the variables at selected points, generating extra points in between the measured points and then processing them to obtain the profiles.

The microwave temperature and humidity profiler instrument airborne shakeout performance

2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory has developed a new airborne sensor, the Microwave Temperature and Humidity Profiler (MTHP), by adding a 183 GHz receiver to the current Microwave Temperature Profiler (MTP). The instrument scans ahead of the aircraft flight path sampling at multiple angles, allowing for atmospheric retrievals above and below the aircraft,

Temperature and Humidity Profiles in Mesoscale Unsaturated Downdrafts

Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences, 1980
Abstract Profiles of temperature and humidity beneath precipitating anvil clouds in tropical convective systems suggest the presence of a mesoscale unsaturated downdraft there. In this paper, a one-dimensional, steady-state, hydrostatic model of a downdraft is used to simulate profiles of temperature and humidity beneath anvil clouds.

Infrared spectrometer for ground-based profiling of atmospheric temperature and humidity

SPIE Proceedings, 1991
We describe an infrared spectrometer system designed for passive, ground-based remote profiling of atmospheric temperature and humidity. This instrument will be useful in atmospheric science, climate, and global change studies. We plan eventually to demonstrate its potential for unattended remote sensing.

Solving model of temperature and humidity profiles in spray cooling zone

Building and Environment, 2017
Abstract Spray cooling technology is being increasingly used to improve the outdoor high temperature environment owing to its energy efficient and environmentally friendly characteristics. However, it is difficult to quantitatively analyze the temperature and humidity distribution in the spray environment due to the uncertainty of the outdoor ...

Statistical Retrieval of Humidity Profiles from Precipitable Water Vapor and Surface Measurements of Humidity and Temperature

Journal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Technology, 1996
Abstract A new method is presented of statistical retrieval of humidity profiles based on measurements of surface temperature ξ1, surface dewpoint ξ2, and integrated water vapor ξ3. In this method the retrieved values of humidity depend nonlinearly on predictors ξ1,2,3.

Temperature and humidity profiling in the Arctic using millimeter-wave radiometry

2008 Microwave Radiometry and Remote Sensing of the Environment, 2008
A One Dimentional Variational (1DVAR) retrieval technique has been developed for obtaining temperature and humidity profiles from observations of the Ground-based Scanning Radiometer (GSR) operating at millimeter and submillimeter waves. The GSR participated in two Arctic experiments held at the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program in Barrow,

Humidity and temperature profile in the nasal cavity.

Rhinology, 2001
Adequate air conditioning in the nasal airways is mandatory for respiration and gas exchange in the lower respiratory tract. The aim of the present study was to measure relative humidity and temperature in the airstream at different sites within the nasal cavity for mapping of relative humidity and temperature in the upper airways.Intranasal relative ...

Dynamic Temperature and Humidity Environmental Profiles: Impact for Future Emergency and Disaster Preparedness and Response

Prehospital and Disaster Medicine, 2014
AbstractIntroductionDuring disasters and complex emergencies, environmental conditions can adversely affect the performance of point-of-care (POC) testing. Knowledge of these conditions can help device developers and operators understand the significance of temperature and humidity limits necessary for use of POC devices.
