Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION STRATEGY OF PRESSURE SENSOR BASED ON BP NEURAL NETWORK OPTIMIZED BY GLOWWORM SWARM OPTIMIZATION

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2020
In order to solve the problem that temperature drift of silicon piezoresistive pressure sensor affects the accuracy of engineering measurement, proposed a temperature compensation strategy for BP neural network based on glowworm swarm optimization.

Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

Studies on temperature acclimation in the freshwater pulmonate mollusc Lymnaea stagnalis (L.)

open access: yes, 1978
PhDThis work is concerned with processes of thermal acclimation in the freshwater pulmonate, Lymnaea stagnalis. Three physiological functions were studied: heart rate, rate of oxygen consumption and assimilation efficiency, Seasonal changes in rate ...

Exploring an Alternative to mRNA Vaccine Cold Chain Storage: MRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticle Stability When Dried in a Polymer Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Orbital Geometry‐Governed Response of Pressure‐Tunable Quantum Defects in hBN

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Defects in hBN act as ultrasensitive quantum manometers when the energy of the intradefect optical transitions is modified by lattice compression. The orbital geometry of the electron wave functions governs how electron hopping and Coulomb interactions react uniquely to the reduction of the van der Waals gap and in‐plane compression, leading to robust ...

Ratchet limits for a crack in a welded pipe subjected to a cyclic temperature load an a constant mechanical load

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents the ratchet limit analysis of a pipe with a symmetric crack in a mismatched weld by using the extended Linear Matching Method (LMM). Two loading conditions are considered: i) a cyclic temperature load and a constant internal pressure;

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Investigation of the focus shift due to compensation process for low energy ion beam transport

open access: yes, 2000
In magnetic Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT) sections space charge compensation helps to enhance the transportable beam current and to reduce emittance growth due to space charge forces.
