Confinement‐Induced Donnan Potential Enables Sealed Hydrovoltaic Power From Microliter Water

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ultrathin MXene/cellulose nanofiber (CNF) nanochannel‐based hydrovoltaic generator produces sustained direct current (DC) from a single microliter droplet under sealed operation. Asymmetric nanochannel confinement establishes a persistent ion gradient and a confinement‐induced Donnan potential, harvesting the interfacial free energy released upon ...

A Universal van der Waals Tunneling Injector for Monolayer CMOS

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A universal van der Waals injector unlocks polarity‐flexible tunneling contacts for monolayer CMOS. SnSe2, an intrinsically degenerate 2D semiconductor, establishes polarity‐specific band alignments with both WSe2 and MoS2 channels, enabling steep switching, high on/off ratios, and a unified route to low‐power 2D logic.

Temperature-compensated chemical reactions

Physical Review E, 2007
Circadian rhythms are daily oscillations in behaviors that persist in constant light/dark conditions with periods close to 24 h. A striking feature of these rhythms is that their periods remain fairly constant over a wide range of physiological temperatures, a feature called temperature compensation. Although circadian rhythms have been associated with

A Self-Compensating Temperature Indicator

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1930
The following paper describes a unique adaptation of the temperature sensitive magnetic alloys known as ``calmaloy'' to the cold junction compensation of thermocouple temperature indicators. It has been known for some time that certain specially prepared copper-nickel alloys possess the property of changing permeability linearly with temperature over ...

Temperature-compensated induction extensometer

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1978
A linear displacement transducer, or extensometer, has been designed and constructed to measure displacements over a range of 0–150 mm. The transducer works by electromagnetic induction and consists of a bifilar coil coaxial with two conducting cylinders, one inside and the other outside the coil.

Temperature Compensated Time Synchronization

IEEE Embedded Systems Letters, 2009
Time synchronization in embedded sensor networks is an important service for correlating data between nodes and communication scheduling. While many different approaches to the problem are possible, one major effect of clock frequency difference between nodes, environmental temperature changes, has often been left out of the solution.

Temperature compensation for a core memory

Papers presented at the December 1-3, 1959, eastern joint IRE-AIEE-ACM computer conference on - IRE-AIEE-ACM '59 (Eastern), 1959
For fixed installation, it is often possible to control the temperature of ferrite core memories within narrow limits. However, in a small mobile computer designed to operate over world-wide conditions, this control is not feasible because of the added weight, volume, and cost encountered.

Temperature Compensated Piezoelectric Materials

1979
Abstract : From the electrostriction measurements on SBN crystals, it was found that the fourth order electrostrictive coupling terms are not adequate to fully describe the paraelectric phase above Curie temperature, and hence six rank coupling terms are needed; the electrostrictive coupling terms do not change markedly with cation substitution ...
