Tumor temperature distributions predict hyperthermia effect
International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, 1989Review of clinical hyperthermia (HT) trial results shows that there previously has not been a robust model relating efficacy of HT treatments to characteristics of the temperature distribution. Lack of a model has been an impediment in Phase II trials; these trials must include defining the prescription for HT treatment, optimizing the schedule of HT ...

Distributed Temperature Sensors
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1983The capabilities and technologies of a number of spatially distributed over-temperature sensors are reviewed. A new conductive polymeric sensor is described in which capacitance measurements indicate the presence and location of hot spots. Physical characteristics, operating principles, and test results are discussed.

Determining Acid Distribution Using Distributed Temperature Measurements
SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2009Abstract Placement of a sufficient volume of acid in all desired zones is critical for a successful acid stimulation treatment. Particularly in thick, highly heterogeneous carbonate formations, the acid distribution is crucial for optimal stimulation results.

Temperature Distributions in Electrical Machinery
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1916The paper deals with certain fundamental principles governing heat distribution and temperature in electrical apparatus. The general problems of heat generation, heat flow and heat dissipation, upon which the resultant temperatures depend, are discussed at some length.

Computation of Correlated Color Temperature and Distribution Temperature
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1968Methods by which the correlated color temperature and the distribution temperature of a light source may be calculated from a knowledge of the spectral power distribution of the source are described. Digital-computer programs have been written to perform the calculations; these programs are described, with the results of some tests for a number of ...

Distributing temperature‐controlled products
Retail and Distribution Management, 1982In the UK, Christian Salvesen have 19 cold, chill and transport locations amounting to nearly 50 million cubic feet, and a fleet of nearly 400 vehicles. They offer services which include trunking, groupage, small quantity delivery of chill and frozen products, and contract centralised distribution.

Steady-state temperature distribution in man
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1961A steady-state, mathematical model for the human heat transfer system has been developed. This model includes the following factors: a) the distribution of metabolic heat generation, b) conduction of heat in tissue, c) convection of heat by flowing blood, d) loss of heat by radiation, convection and evaporation at the surface, e) loss of heat through ...

Temperature Distributions Around Buried Cables
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1979Methods for analysis of temperature distributions around buried power cables are reviewed. None accurately models the true geometric conditions or properties or enables prediction of the time- dependence of temperature change.
